OUR MISSION
Our mission is to provide the necessary financial support to help people in the poorest communities in the world, by providing medical care and access to life-saving medications to under served areas. We hope to help give these people a chance to determine their own lives, and inspire others to treat those less fortunate with kindness and respect.
OUR BEGINNINGS
Growing up in Vietnam, I saw everyone in my neighborhood struggle each day to make ends meet. I was lucky enough to come to America where I had a great education and opportunities. I am blessed to have a successful career, a beautiful wife and two wonderful children.
After 28 years, my wife and I decided to visit our motherland to see our family. I was saddened to see that poverty and suffering continue to be an everyday sight. While on our trip, we decided to visit the orphanage in Da Nang city. At the orphanage place, we met few women who provide shelter and food for 96 orphans, whose ages range from 6 to 14 years old. Some of them have either mental or physical disabilities, or both. These children all live together in the run-down, impoverished squalor of a place. While beautiful on the outside, the conditions inside reflected the impossibility of caring for so many children with so little support.
The experience was heartbreaking for us. We decided on the spot to offer some financial support to them to buy food and other necessities for the orphans.
After coming back to America, we are truly grateful and blessed to live the life we have now. This experience has renewed our beliefs in the sanctity of life. We want to make a difference in the world so that more children can have a chance to determine their own lives, as I once did.
Inspired by our recent trip, our family decided to form a charitable foundation. We seek to improve the lives of people all over the world, beginning with this orphanage place. We want to build a better, more spacious home for these orphans, all of whom are currently sleeping and eating en masse in the common room. Furthermore, we want to provide those orphans with the tools and education necessary to improve their lives. Our current objective is to raise some money to help build shelter for the orphans and to repair the place so that it can provide a good living environment for everyone who lives there.
Unfortunately, the children we saw are not the only one is suffering. Therefore, our mission is to provide food, shelter, and other necessities for the most vulnerable people, all over the world. We hope that our actions can inspire our children and others to be more generous and sensitive to the suffering of others, rather than ignoring them. If we can improve the lives of even this one orphanage place and the group of orphans, then this foundation will have succeeded.
